Prioritize percent change, successive discounts, average speed, work equivalence, compound interest, AM-GM basics, quadratic roots, AP-GP sums, areas, volumes, and probability rules.
- Percentage change: new value = old value x (1 + r/100).
- Average speed for equal distances: 2ab / (a + b).
- Work: if A finishes in x days, one-day work is 1/x.
- Quadratic roots: sum = -b/a, product = c/a.
Revision system
Rewrite formulas from memory every Sunday, then solve three questions per formula family. If a formula is never used in your practice, demote it; if it appears repeatedly, convert it into a flashcard.
