IPMAT Preparation Strategy
Preparation works when every week has a measurable output: chapters closed, accuracy improved, or mocks reviewed.
Three phases
Foundation builds concepts, build phase converts topics into timed sets, and sprint phase focuses on mocks, revision, and interview basics. Do not start with endless mocks if core arithmetic and reading are unstable.
- Foundation: 8 to 12 weeks of concepts and untimed drills.
- Build: 8 weeks of sectional tests, PYQs, and formula recall.
- Sprint: 4 to 6 weeks of mocks, revision, and college targeting.
Daily rhythm
A strong day includes 60 to 90 minutes quant, 30 minutes reading, 30 minutes verbal drill, and a 10-minute error log. Consistency beats occasional marathon sessions.
